Brunel's Hosts Bristol Cider Festival
We all need something to look forward to in the New Year and Brunel’s Old Station is providing just that with a special winter cider festival at the end of January.
Coming on the weekend after Blue Monday (calculated to be the most depressing day of the year by scientists due to a combination of bad weather, debt and low motivation) the Winter Bristol Cider Festival takes place on Friday, January 27, and Saturday, January 28.
To perk people up in the New Year there will be over 100 ciders on offer including the most decorated award winner from across the UK such as Gwynt Y Ddraig from Wales, Broadoak and Hecks from Somerset, and Mr Whiteheads from Hampshire.

And as no cider festival would be complete without music and food, guests can fill up on cheese platters and hog roasts before dancing the night away to exciting local bands such as the Somerset Wurzels tribute band - The Mangledwurzels.
You can enjoy the cider festival fun on Friday and Saturday evening, but also during the day from 11-4 on Saturday afternoon. If you buy your tickets in advance you can save one pound off the £8 price on the door, which is recommended as the event sold out last year.
The convenient location of the Passenger Shed next to Bristol Temple Meads makes this an easy event to attend, so come down and enjoy the fun.
