Olly Murs Opens Bristol Shopping Centre

A special Bristol event took place last night to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas countdown.

Last yearís X Factor winner Olly Murs visited Cribbs Causeway in Bristol to switch on the Christmas lights at The Mall shopping centre.

The shopping centre then became a party venue as Murs performed a concert for the gathered shoppers and fans on a stage that had been put up especially for the occasion.

Some fans had been queuing there since seven in the morning and were ecstatic to see the half hour set which included his hit singles. Murs has done well out of his X Factor win and is still constantly in the news as one of the presenters of the new series.

The event was put on in conjunction with Heart FM and included some other up-and-coming performers in the Bristol area. This Bristol extravaganza was all part of a Winter Wonderland promotion being put on at Cribbs Causeway Mall for Christmas. That will also include a global food market held on weekday evenings, a magical Santa castle and a fun indoor ice skating rink up until the end of the first week of January.

Cribbs Causeway is located to the north of Bristol but if you want a more central Bristol event venue then nothing could be more convenient than Brunelís Old Station. The Passenger Shed adjoins Bristol Temple Meads train station which makes it easy to access by car, rail or bus. Brunelís is a specialist in hosting Bristol conferences, exhibitions and dinner parties. Contact us on 08446 622 970 for more information.
