The Search is on for Mr Sexy at Brunel’s Old Station

Brunel’s Old Station, the largest indoor venue in Bristol city centre, has been confirmed as the setting for Sexy Wines’ first ever ‘Mr Sexy UK’ modelling competition.

Sexy Wine, a range of exclusive wines from the Fita Preta vineyard in rural Portugal, is holding a variety of competitions throughout the UK to find the ultimate ‘Mr Sexy’, with Brunel’s Old Station hosting the Bristol leg of the search on November 18th.

The event is expected to attract over 600 guests on the night and will take place in the historic, 1,500 Square metre Passenger Shed facility within the venue.

  Mr Sexy Bristol

The competition, which will be in support of homecare, hospice and residential care charity, Sue Ryder, is now calling on 18-25, 26-35 and 35 plus year old males across Bristol to enter the Mr Rosé, Mr White and Mr Red categories respectively.

A winner from each category will be selected on the night by judges including Nikki Cook from What’s on Bristol with the overall Mr Sexy UK winner receiving an all-expenses paid holiday to the ‘Sexy villa’ in Fita Preta, Portugal.

All proceeds from the event will go to Sue Ryder, which gives expert and compassionate support for people living through life-changing illness.

Marta Lendzioszek, venue hire manager at Brunel’s Old Station, who is donating the venue hire for the fundraising event, commented:

“We are delighted to be able to host the Mr Sexy search in our Passenger Shed facility at Brunel’s Old Station. The former Great Western Railway Terminus is accustomed to holding a variety of large scale events such as parties, fundraisers and fashion shows, however finding a Mr Sexy is  a first for us, so we are all intrigued to watch the event unfold in November.

“The Passenger Shed will seat around 600 people for this particular type of event, so we encourage males from all over Bristol to enter the competition and descend on Brunel’s Old station with their friends and family for a fascinating and atmospheric event, all in aid of an extremely worthwhile charity.”

Sam Boardman, event organiser and fundraiser at Sue Ryder, added: “We cannot wait for this event to take place at the Passenger Shed. The venue was the perfect location for this event as it not only gives us the space and impact the show requires, but also has the originality which aligns itself perfectly with the Sexy Wine brand. Mr Brunel would be proud!”

“We are now encouraging men from across Bristol, and beyond to enter this exciting competition, all in aid of an extremely worthwhile cause.”

Potential ‘Mr Sexy’s’ should send pictures to sam@sexywine.co.ukand finalists will be contacted by November 5th.

Tickets are priced at just £10 to include SEXY wine and a charity wristband. They are available online at www.sexywine.co.uk
