Dom Joly Care Awards

This Friday the winners for the South West will be chosen at an elaborate ceremony in Brunel’s Old Station. This central Bristol venue next to Temple Meads railway station will welcome Trigger Happy TV comedian Dom Joly to present the awards.

There is a huge range of people who will be rewarded for excellence in the care industry across a range of categories, such as the Care Home Worker Award and the Home Care Worker Award.

The Great British Care Awards take place every year to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work. This year there are nine regional awards leading to two national finals for both the home care and care home sectors, to be held at a prestigious central London venue in London in 2013.

Martin Green, Chief Executive of the English Community Care Association said: “The Care Awards provide an opportunity to celebrate the very best in social care. These awards give recognition to those who work hard to ensure good quality care and give everyone in the care sector, a benchmark of quality to aspire to.”
