Bristol Food Producers Honoured

Local Bristol food producers were recognised at the Bristol Food Conference on Monday, June 11, at Brunelís Old Station.

The Food Conference, which was the launching platform for the Good Food Charter, was also part of Bristolís Big Green Week.

At the awards Twoday Coffee Roasters, based in Kingsdown, were presented with the Favourite Local Food Trader award. Meanwhile joint runners-up were Cafe Zest and Cafe Kino.

Bristol Independents co-founder Jane Stevenson said: ďThe Bristol Independents campaign was created to help Bristolís local economy flourish. Each pound spent with a local retailer, selling local produce, gave a double return back to the local economy.Ē

The Bristol Food Conference was just one of a number of exciting events scheduled for June at Brunelís Old Station. The Parchment Craft Exhibition takes place on Sunday, June 24, and will have exhibitors from all over Europe displaying stunning parchment craft exhibits.

Then the following Tuesday, June 26, the Naked Wines company will be having an informal wine tasting that anyone can attend with hundreds of wines available to taste.

Brunelís Old Station is the premier choice for events held in the South West, as this is a spectacular historical venue in a Grade 1 listed Victorian building. Adjoining Temple Meads, Brunelís Old Station is also in an incredibly convenient location that you can get to by car, bus or train, as well as by bicycle or on foot.
