Bristol Food Awards Shortlist

The Bristol Good Food Awards shortlist for local producers in 2012 has been announced, and the final winners will be revealed at the Love Food Festival this weekend.

Votes have been made by the public on the best restaurants, cafes and delis in Bristol. On Saturday, March 31, a blind taste test during the Love Food Spring Festival at Brunel’s Old Station will decide the winners.

The judging will be conducted by a panel including Daily Telegraph food editor Xanthe Clay, Good Food channel presenter Thane Prince and Barbora Stiess of the Devilled Egg Kitchen Academy. Richard Truscott of Almondsbury Garden Centre, which is sponsoring the Bristol Good Food Awards 2012, will also be one of the judges.

Head judge Angela Mount and her team will make their decisions between 10am-12pm at this Bristol event in the Passenger Shed. After the judging takes place, the winners will be announced at 2pm and visitors will have the chance to sample goodies from the shortlisted producers.
