Love Food Festival

A Bristol food festival is aiming to reward people who love food with what will be an epic celebration of the West Country as a gastronomic haven.

The Love Food Spring Festival takes places at the crossover between March and April at Brunelís Old Station in Temple Meads. Over two days renowned chefs, food critics and those who work in the food industry will gather, along with members of the public to enjoy the finer pleasures in life.

They can do so in a grade 1 listed building which is central to Bristolís history as a railway terminus. Brunelís old Station is the largest indoor event venue in Bristol and has a wealth of experience in hosting every type of event imaginable. Known as the Passenger Shed by its designer, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Brunelís is an ideal venue for Bristol events as attendees can get there by car, taxi, rail, bus and coach.

The food festival is on March 31 and April 1 (April foolís day) but there will also be a follow up Ė the Love Wine festival which takes place on May 13. Of course no good meal is complete without the right variety of wine to complement the flavours so come along and continue your education.

The Love Food festival has received a host of good press including being voted one of the top autumnal events in the country by the Guardian newspaper.

And no lesser of an authority on food than Rick Stein had this to say about the event organiser Lorna Knapman: ďLorna Knapman showcases the unsung heroes of the food world and champions local producers from across the South West. The festival introduces people to produce that has been grown, reared, caught, brewed or baked by producers on our doorstep. It reconnects people with the simple pleasures of growing, buying and cooking great, locally-produced food.Ē
